Accessibility statement

A large share of the veterans NVBA serves live with disabilities. Accessibility is a requirement here, not a feature.

Our standard

NVBA aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across this website and, when it launches, the member platform.

What we have implemented

A skip-to-content link on every page, a single main landmark, and headings that follow a logical order.

Body text that meets the 4.5:1 contrast minimum, including text placed over photography, which is layered on a darkened overlay rather than the raw image.

Keyboard access to every interactive element, with a visible focus indicator, and tap targets of at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch devices.

Form fields with programmatically associated labels, inline error messages announced to assistive technology, and descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.

Known limitations

Dashboard preview graphics are decorative illustrations of a future product. They are labeled as previews and are summarized in text so nothing meaningful is conveyed by the image alone.

[Placeholder: list any third-party embeds or documents that have not yet been remediated.]

Reporting a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, write to info@nvba.life and describe the page and what happened. We treat accessibility reports as priority issues and aim to respond within two business days.
